You don't need social media "experts", you don't need to spend more on marketing than a small African country. Skylines shows that indy games can not only compete but excel against traditional big money publishers. There are no crashes, no glitches, no weird "we'll patch that out later" crap you find in nearly all new EA titles. The game looks slick, it feels optimised. For a game developed by just 9 people, this is an exceptional achievement. The fact it has strong mod support means this game will have legs and you'll get years of enjoyment from this game for frankly a tiny amount of money.
